Tips to Make Your “Me Time” Worth it
How often do you steal time from the world and like to spend it on your own, without any human interference? Well, these days, most people like to stay alone, busy with their smartphones and not willing to meet anyone, unless it is really important. However, this is not the perfect use of your me-time.
Here I have garnered some methods with which you can make your me-time absolutely worth it and get some good output as well:
· If you love spending time all alone for some part of the day or someday of the week, take up a resolution to stay away from your smartphone and do something creative. Binge-watching or scrolling social media feeds in free time could be a hobby, but it’s not really constructive. Instead, find out what you love to do and can be most creative at, whether cooking, painting, knitting, or anything that is worth learning.
· Me-times does not mean being all alone in your home or in your room. You can call some kids and play with them in a park, or visit some aged people in their home to talk to them. Do it once and you would know that the real world is much more thrilling than the virtual world, even when you have to make a bit of effort in it.
· This is very normal these days, but very important. Just like children, even parents have gotten used to these smartphones and their world has turned quite narrow. As a parent or as a child, you need to create an environment where the other generation would like to talk to you instead of being engrossed in their digital screen.
· Something that is fading pretty quickly is the relationship between the partners for life. Instead of making it me time, why not make it an us-time by talking to your better half about past and life. Sharing some of these memories, with your wedding photographs and videos on-screen and having dinner together once a week is really good for a healthy relationship and to invigorate it.
These are some of the tips that can really help your me-time worth it. Remember, it’s about working on yourself to make your life a bit interesting and worth it. If you could do something creative instead of lazing down with your smartphone, this would be so much better in your life.
