The Grass is Greener Where You Water it

Do you too believe that the grass is always greener on the other side, or the food on someone else’s plate appears much more delicious than you own? If so, there is absolutely no fault of you. It’s normal human nature that a person is born with.

However, when the grass is greener on the other side, do you try to move on the other side? Well, there are a few things that you should think about before moving to the other side, and here are some of these things:

  • Maybe the grass is just appearing green on the other side and is exactly the same where you stand currently. It could be an illusion just because of human nature and when you reach the other side, you may find the grass on the previous side much better.
  • If the grass is really greener on the other side, will there be only you to get benefits from it? It would attract a lot of other creatures and there could be a lot of competition, unlike your present side.
  • If you move to the other side in greed of greener grass, you may have to lose something very important and worthwhile, which is present on the present side and which may not be available on the other side.

So instead of moving to the other side when you see greener grass, why not make an effort and create greener grass on the present side? Well, I am not writing this for some grazing animals to read, but for human beings who understand metaphors well.

If the present conditions in your life are good but you see a better life in some other conditions, think about what would change when your conditions see a change. Are you ready for the change? And what if you could stay in the present conditions and make your life better in it?

So while you aim for greener grass, it is important to know that with just a little effort, the grass may get greener on the present side as well. Changing sides may change a lot of conditions that you may not be ready for. Do you agree with this?
