TCL NxtPaper 12 Pro: Worth the Price it Takes?

Did you witness the CES or Consumer Electronics Show 2023? It had some really cool and new technological products for people and even TCL took the opportunity to launch a number of devices in that aspect. One of the products launched at the event by TCL was the new TCL NxtPaper 12 Pro.

This is a smart tablet for people in the mid-range segment and displays some interesting features. Here are some of the major features of this device that you need to know before judging it for its cost:

• TCL NxtPaper 12 Pro is a smart tablet that is just 6.9mm in size and weighs about 599g. It has excellent stylus support which would help you make notes easily on your device.
• The tablet comes with a 12.2-inch NCVM IPS display that has a paper-like feel when you view the content. It has 370 nits of brightness and you get a wonderful 1440p display resolution and 82.5% screen-to-body ratio. The display specs of the device are really interesting.
• The smart tablet is powered by a MediaTek Kompanio 800T processor which is also known as MediaTek MT8771 chip. This octa-core processor is clocked at 2.4 GHz and ensures good gaming performance as well. You get an Arm Mali-G57 MC2 as the GPU support and Stock Android 12 to ensure you face no ads or bloatware on your device

• TCL NxtPaper 12 Pro has been launched in only a single variant and it comes with as much as 8GB RAM and 256GB internal storage. I think this is pretty sufficient for all kinds of users and all kinds of tasks. Overall, it sounds interesting to the buyers when you hear that it has a dedicated memory card slot as well.
• TCL has provided a wonderful 13MP rear camera support with an LED flash and you can ensure that it would offer you great photos and videos even in low light conditions. In fact, the front camera takes a step ahead with 8MP + 8MP dual selfie camera that also offers you a seamless video call experience. I think the camera section is the highlight of the device.
• It does not have a 3.5mm jack but you get 4 stereo speakers with the device, in terms of a loudspeaker.
• The battery support with the device is also quite interesting and you get a huge 8000mAh battery support which can last quite a few days for the users. Even if you like to play games, I am sure this smart battery would do well for you. Besides, the smart tablet contains as much as 18W fast charging support which is also a wonderful aspect of the device.
• You get smart USB Type-C 2.0 support with the smart tablet and it comes with a magnetic connector as well.

TCL NxtPaper 12 Pro: Review

If you look at the cost of this device, TCL NxtPaper 12 Pro takes $499 for the variant that supports only Wi-Fi. And another variant with 5G SIM support is projected to arrive very soon for an additional 50 bucks.

So I think TCL NxtPaper 12 Pro is a wonderful device for users at a low cost and although some people might find it on the pricier side, the features justify the cost. What do you think?
