TCL 406: The Brand Going Budget, Bam Bam!

How do you expect a smartphone brand to impress buyers with its products? Well, most of them will try to deliver a really beautiful smartphone that would contain a lot of features to make sure the products get all the eyes.

However, it’s certainly one of the newest trends for brands to go deep into the budget segment and try to impress potential buyers. And this move in the budget segment has worked well for them. For instance, many brands came up with some really interesting devices in the budget segment in the recently held Mobile World Congress 2023.

TCL was one of them that took this opportunity to launch some interesting budget smartphones and TCL 406 was one of the smartphones in the segment. This smartphone has been launched in the budget segment with some really interesting features and here is a glimpse of some of the major features of the device.

Specifications of TCL 406:

• TCL 406 has already been unveiled on a global level and this comes with Dual SIM support. Besides, it is available in a single, Gray color.
• The smartphone comes with a 6.6-inch IPS LCD display and has about 84.3% screen-to-body ratio. Also, you get a 720p display resolution and 20:9 display aspect ratio. Overall, for a budget segment device, I think the display seems pretty good.
• Although they do not mention it in many places, the smartphone is powered by a MediaTek Helio G25 budget gaming processor. This is not actually a gaming processor but comes with Mediatek HyperEngine support and hence you can play games at low settings easily. This is an octa-core processor and comes with a primary clock speed of 2GHz. So the performance of the device would be reasonably good for its cost.
• The smartphone contains really good camera support as well. It comes with a 13MP + 2MP dual rear camera that seems good enough for basic buyers and it also contains an LED flash to help you get good images and videos in low-light conditions. Besides, the smartphone contains an 8MP front camera as well to help you get good selfies and video calls without any trouble.
• One of the highlights of the smartphone is its 5000mAh battery which would last a good period of time. The smartphone comes with 10W charging support, which is reasonably good for a budget segment device.
• The smartphone contains USB Type C 2.0 support along with USB on-the-go feature as well. It also has a side-mounted fingerprint sensor and a virtual proximity sensor as well.

These are some of the major features of the new TCL 406 smartphone which is a part of the budget segment devices. There are a few more devices that have been launched by the brand at a low cost but this TCL 406 seems to be the best option for buyers.

Now TCL is the brand that we knew delivering high-class smart TVs to users. But honestly, they have done pretty well in the smartphone segment as well. Of course, most brands use Mediatek processors these days and soon, there could be TCL smartphones with Mediatek 5G processors as well. However, whatever they have delivered with a 4G processor is good enough for the buyers. What do you think?
