MediaTek is growing in stature, and credit to their investment in research and development, the brand is making the tables turn in every segment. Whether working alone or collaborating with different brands, I think MediaTek has set its vision for the future.

While the year 2023 has already unveiled some of the most fantastic surprises by MediaTek, more are yet to arrive soon. And MediaTek has already prepared to bring some really interesting elements while targeting a lot of markets (globally). Here are some of the trends related to MediaTek SoCs that we can see in 2024 and beyond:

MediaTek-Nvidia Collaboration:

Both MediaTek and Nvidia are some of the biggest players in the market and are known for their amazing products. And you can imagine the results when both these giants pick their best features and put them in an SoC to power digital products.

MediaTek and Nvidia took the same frame in 2023 to announce the arrival of smart SoCs for smart vehicles. And it is expected that both these brands will couple to bring smart(er)phones as well. MediaTek is reportedly working with Nvidia for future smartphone chips and you can get these powerful devices very soon. Ready for the revolution?

MediaTek’s Africa Plan:

MediaTek already had a whopping 41% market share in the African smartphone market segment and it aims to increase it further. As per some reports, MediaTek is planning to increase its market share and by the end of 2024, it may capture up to 50 percent of the African smartphone market.

MediaTek already has the highest market share in the smartphone segment all across the world and with brands such as Infinix and Tecno that only use Mediatek chips, the chipset brand can definitely overpower even some of the best players in the market.

MediaTek Wi-Fi 7:

Wi-Fi 7 is a hot term these days and most brands are ready to deliver the services with their latest products. However, MediaTek was the first brand to bring the concept and has already launched SoCs which target products to deliver Wi-Fi 7 to your home and offices.

In fact, the year 2024 may see smartphones using Wi-Fi 7 connections and getting much better speeds in their devices.

MediaTek Dimensity 9300:

MediaTek stepped into the flagship segment with Dimensity 9000 series and now, a lot of flagships use these MediaTek chips. This was a setback for Qualcomm which used to have a monopoly in the flagship Android smartphone segment.

However, things may turn better for MediaTek in 2023 with the arrival of the new MediaTek Dimensity 9300 chip that is targeting the flagships. As per some reports, MediaTek has avoided using lower cores and you can see only the most powerful cores (such as the Cortex X series) in the latest launch. No doubt, the MediaTek Dimensity 9300 chip could be way more powerful than Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 and Apple Bionic A16 chips.

These are some of the trends that we may see related to MediaTek SoCs in 2024–25 and beyond. The brand is on a roll and is expected to gain major supremacy in the market. It’s time to check the name of the processor, whenever you buy a digital product. MediaTek powers more than 2 billion products in a single year and you could already be using these chips in your devices.
