MediaTek launched as many as 3 new chipsets for 4G and 5G smartphones recently and the highest variant in the list was MediaTek Dimensity 1050 chipset that gets placed between MediaTek Dimensity 1000 Plus and MediaTek Dimensity 1100.

But do you actually think that MediaTek Dimensity 1050 chipset is an extension of the MediaTek Dimensity 1000 Plus chipset? Well, here I have brought for you a comparison between MediaTek Dimensity 1050 chipset and MediaTek Dimensity 1000 Plus chipset to inform you about the enhancements in the new chipset.

MediaTek Dimensity 1050 vs MediaTek Dimensity 1000 Plus:

CPU Section and Size:

Talking about the CPU of the devices, MediaTek Dimensity 1050 has an octa-core CPU with 2 x Arm Cortex-A78 cores clocked at 2.5GHz and 2 6 Arm Cortex-A55 cores clocked at 2.0GHz. The chipset is just 6nm in size.

Against this, MediaTek Dimensity 1000 Plus has an octa-core CPU that contains 4 x 2.6 GHz Arm Cortex-A77 cores and 4 x 2 GHz Arm Cortex-A55 cores. This chipset has a 7nm size.

GPU:

Talking about the Graphics Processing Unit, MediaTek Dimensity 1050 has an Arm Mali-G610 MC3 as its GPU that allows Video Encoding H.265 / HEVC and H.264 support as well. When you look at the GPU section of the MediaTek Dimensity 1000 Plus chipset, contains an Arm Mali-G77 MC9 that comes with 850MHz frequency.

Camera Support:

MediaTek Dimensity 1050 comes with a really powerful 108MP camera support which has some other interesting AI features as well. You also get 20MP + 20MP dual-camera support with the device. Against this, MediaTek Dimensity 1000 Plus chipset has up to 80MP camera support with the chipset and it can support dual cameras up to 32MP + 32MP.

Gaming Enhancement:

While MediaTek Dimensity 1050 comes with a Mediatek HyperEngine 5.0 support, MediaTek Dimensity 1000 Plus comes with a MediaTek HyperEngine 2.0 support and you can note the difference between the two chipsets with this factor.

So MediaTek Dimensity 1050 definitely has some upgrades in the chipset against the MediaTek Dimensity 1000 Plus chipset, but you cannot say that it has shown an upside-down difference.
