Do you wish to be the leader of your pack and consider yourself to have all the leadership qualities? Well, winning the confidence of people in your group is something very important in this aspect and natural leaders do not even have to convince people about this.

This brings me to one of the very important conclusions and the fact that I have always believed in my life. Natural leaders are born and not made. Yes, whether you believe it or not, people who have good leadership qualities are born with them and this is why a 25-year old becomes the CEO of a huge company and a few 70-year old people work under him or her.

Leadership is actually a quality that no one can teach you. You may think that if you stay in close association with a good leader, you would get some of their qualities transferred into you, but this is not the case. Although, if you stay with a good leader for a long period of time, you can try to imitate the leader and think like them, which could help you become a good leader someday.

So the very first way in which you can become a good leader in time is being in the company of a good leader and this is something that will take more than a few years. And you would definitely not have your own identity in this aspect. You would just try to imitate good leaders and take decisions according to what they took in their time. But at least, you would satisfy your wish of becoming a good leader.

The second thing which can offer you your own identity as a leader is being a good follower first. If you are able to follow what other people say and if you are capable of demonstrating the qualities of a good follower, you can be a good leader in some time. But again, this is also a process that can take time.

So if you do not have leadership qualities but still wish to be a leader, you need to understand that the process would take time. However, it is also important to know that it is not important what you think about yourself. It’s the people or your group that decide whether you have those leadership qualities or not.
