Did you realize that ever since these Amazon Fire HD tablets were launched by the brand, Amazon has been launching a new series of tablets every other year with some changes in the overall structure and the performance of the tablets?

Well, the latest in the series are Amazon Fire HD 10 Tablets where you can choose from a couple of devices and both of them are powered by a MediaTek Kompanio 500 chipset, However, if you have been using these Echo tablets in the most unorthodox ways till now, here are some of the most interesting uses of Amazon Fire HD tablets that would help you get a better experience:

Turn it into an Echo Show:

Most people wish to have almost every Echo device with them without realizing that having a few of them can be really helpful. If you got an Amazon Fire HD tablet, it’s easy to convert it to an Amazon Echo Show which is nothing else but a smart tablet with better speakers.

To do this, you need to swipe down from the top and tap the Show Mode toggle switch, or say “Alexa, switch to Show Mode.” It would just take a few seconds for Alexa to make it a smart Echo device for you. It can use these screens to show weather forecasts, news reports, the feeds from your security cameras, and whatever you command.

Using Android Apps:

Did you know that Amazon Fire HD Tablets run on Fire OS and not Android OS? Well, if you are using any such devices, you would have an idea because Fire HD Tablets are devoid of a Google Play Store. However, the good news is that you can use almost all Android apps on your Fire HD Tablets with the help of Sideloading which is a process of installing apps that aren’t available in the Amazon App Store.

For this, you need to go to the Settings from the home screen and choose Security & Privacy and Apps from Unknown Sources. Then tap on the App that you want to install then turn on the Allow from this source toggle switch. Your app would start running in the process.

However, it’s important to know that while these apps were meant for Android users and not Fire OS users, some of them may misbehave on your device.

Split Screen:

This feature is available only in the latest Amazon Fire HD 10 tablets that were launched in 2021. As I already mentioned, Amazon keeps bringing newer devices with new mediatek chipsets and some new features as well. This is one of the features where you can operate 2 screens together and work on both of them as you need them.

To use the split screen feature, click on the task switcher button that is present on the navigation bar at the bottom. The most recently used applications appear first on this, and if you click on the app icon at the top, followed by Split screen, you can pick another application to go with it.

This feature is helpful when you look to use two apps together or wish to write something on the same tab when reading something from the same.

These are some of the smart tricks that make Amazon Echo HD Tablets really helpful and much better than just their orthodox uses. If you haven’t tried these out, it’s time to use your tablets in a much better manner.
