Are You Calculating Your Calorie Intake Daily?

There are lots of smartwatches and other smart gadgets these days that keep a check on the number of calories you take every single day. And these gadgets are mostly preferred by people who are suffering from overweight and obesity issues.

When doctors tell them to cut down on their calorie intake, they choose these gadgets to help them calculate the calories they take daily and they cut down foods that tend to appear laden in calories. And in the process, they become too finicky in their eating habits. Are you one such person who is keeping track of their calorie consumption every single day?

Well, counting your calories is not that bad and cutting down on junk food is actually quite good for your body. But if you are being too choosy in your eating habits and completely ignoring some essential elements of your diet, you can harm your body rather badly.

Nowadays, people prefer keto diets which are actually quite good. However, when you resist the carbohydrates completely, you are actually resisting the short-term energy foods that can offer you instant energy and thus your body may feel tired in the process. Carbohydrates are an essential element of your diet and you should not ignore than completely.

Similarly, in the process of avoiding sugar, people refrain from sweet things completely. They leave rice, they leave potatoes, and other elements that can offer a bit of sugar to their body. But whether you believe it or not, it is important to take a bit of sugar as well, unless you are an athlete or have tremendous physical work to perform every single day.

Some people cut down on fats completely. They avoid all kinds of fats in the process of losing weight, forgetting that their body needs a bit of fat for good functioning.

So while you are getting rid of these essential nutrients in your body in the process of counting your calories, you are actually harming your body. There were no smartwatches about 30 years back and people never faced any trouble in their bodies even after eating everything.

It’s because they were high on physical activities and this is actually the secret to staying healthy. Eat everything in a balanced quantity and perform physical activities as much as you can. You will never need to count your calories.
