All You Need to Know About the Amazon Echo Show 15

Technology is all about making our lives easier. A smartphone, with the ability to withhold infinite information in the palms of our hands, doesn’t seem to quite make our lives the easiest possible. Amazon created the Echo Show series to give us that comfort and ease when we move around our homes. The Amazon Echo Show 15 is the latest release in their echo series, and this smart display needs considerable discussion.

What does it actually do?

This simple device is another addition to the list of machines that are implemented for the modernization of the world. It’s an intelligent board that holds countless pieces of information, making calendars and sticky pads obsolete in modern households. It’s basically a smart replacement for everything you would otherwise hang on your fridge. It displays dates, temperature, news, events, and reminders, plays music, supports voice commands, and even has a camera installed.

Personally, this works best as a kitchen TV to fill in all the silences when you cook. It supports the Fire TV interface, and with Alexa installed, you can conveniently ask her to do anything. Apart from information and reminders, it streams videos and also plays music.

Understanding the hardware:

The Amazon Echo 15 is the largest smart display Amazon has to offer, with a large screen size of 15.6 inches. The dimensions of the device are 15.8 x 9.9 x 1.4 inches, which is huge for a smart display platform. It comes equipped with a 5 MP camera and other features like Bluetooth, widgets, light sensors, and long-range microphones. The Amazon Echo 15 supports the facilities of Fire TV that allow streaming of numerous entertainment services which should keep you engaged while your broth stews.

The Amazon Echo 15 houses an intelligent processor that Amazon created in its collaboration with MediaTek. It is powered by the new Amazon AZ2 neural edge processor that has had significant improvements over its predecessors. The chipset has improved the voice recognition system in Amazon devices and relatively improved the facial recognition as well.

Two 1.6 speakers are fitted on either side of the screen, which expels a decent sound quality for a smart screen. There’s not much to understand here. It simply is a device that helps smoothen your day-to-day tasks and organize your routines and reminders.

Why do we need it?

This smart screen doesn’t do anything out of the ordinary that your smartphone isn’t capable of doing. However, this is a good fit around your house as its voice recognition system makes it easily accessible to make it perform digital tasks from anywhere around the room. It displays your calendar, weather stuff, and important events. You don’t have to worry about sticky notes on your fridge and also having to clean them up.

Moreover, the Amazon Echo 15 is a good addition if you love surrounding yourself with gadgets that make your life easier. It comes slightly above a normal budget, but if you can afford it, Alexa will make sure you’re never out of company.
