Acer’s New Chromebook Spin 513 Contains MediaTek Kompanio 1380

The recently concluded CES 2022 had some really interesting products launched for the consumers and Acer has also launched a bunch of interesting devices to make your everyday life better. One of these devices was the new Acer Chromebook Spin 513 that has just been unveiled.

Confused? Did you already buy this Acer Chromebook Spin 513 last year with a Snapdragon chipset? Well, Acer has tried its hands on changing many things in the device, but unfortunately, the name of the device remains the same. Yeah, and this is nothing new from Acer because every name is a kind of series from Acer and you can have different products with the same name.

So Acer Chromebook Spin 513 is also a Chromebook series that comes with a powerful processor, but this time, it’s not something from Qualcomm. As you would have read in the headline, the new Acer Chromebook Spin 513 contains a Mediatek Kompanio 1380 Chromebook chipset that has just been unveiled by the brand is really interesting with its features.

Earlier, when people used to hear the name MediaTek, they were reluctant to buy any product. But do you know that 90 percent of the smart TVs in the world currently are powered by a Mediatek chipset? In fact, all the Amazon Echo products and other smart speakers have a Mediatek chipset inside them and many of these IoT devices are powered by Mediatek.

So it’s very possible that you could already be using a Mediatek chipset in any of your smart devices at home and you might even not know about this. And I could say this confidently because Mediatek powers over 2 billion products in a single year and some of them use Mediatek processors only.

Back to our Acer Chromebook Spin 513, as per those who have personally viewed this, they are of the opinion that this new Chromebook is almost identical to the Acer Chromebook Spin 713 in terms of its design and display. In fact, the aluminum outer cover and the dark gray shade of the Chromebook look quite identical.

But one major change in the device and which sounds really good is the powerful RAM and ROM support and Acer Chromebook Spin 513 comes with as much as 8GB RAM and 128GB internal storage. This is just perfect to store all that you need on your device and you can easily perform multitasking without even getting worried about the lagging or jittering issues.

The smart Chromebook from Acer has not all its features unveiled till now so not a lot is known. But as per the sources, this Chromebook would occur at a cost of $599 as a starter. Also, while the device has been launched, the date of availability is not yet confirmed and it can reach the stores by June 2022.

Well, I think this is a wonderful deal because even at this cost, the new Acer Chromebook Spin 513 with its Kompanio chipset looks fabulous and who knows, it might occur at a lesser cost due to competition when it actually hits the stores. So Acer Chromebook Spin 513 is actually a good launch by the brand and I am waiting for it to reach the market.
